Clubs let you build your own section of Marketocracy for you and your friends.
Inside a club, you have your own forums and your own rankings. There are many
reasons why you might benefit from creating a club, or participating in someone
else's club. You could:
Meet
and chat with other Marketocracy members in your geographic area (maybe
you could even meet face-to-face once a month). Compete
with your friends or co-workers (make the guy down the hall prove he's the
best investor in the office!) Because
while competing against 50,000 members can be fun, competing against your
friends, family or coworkers can be even more fun. If you are already a
member of an investment club, you can use Marketocracy to make it easier to
communicate between regular meetings and compare performance. If you're
a financial professional and would like to use clubs to keep track of and
communicate with your clients or associates, you can contact us about creating
a "private" club that won't show up
in the list of clubs on the site.
To join this club you must have a fund that is at least 1 year old with a NAV of 20 or more. The purpose of this club is to bring together longer term investors that survived the bear market. We will save each other research time by sharing stock picks. I prefer a buy and hold strategy and funds with low turnover.
